irene -> Galactopedia (?) (11/24/2011 7:20:11 AM)

Can't seem to get the galactopedia (?) to work. It displays a white window saying that transfer to the page was canceled. Then, if i press any of the topic buttons, on the left, it asked me if I want to download a file from within the game directory. (MHLT files) Gives me only the option to save back to the directory it is sourced from. Anybody having similar weird issues.
?

Do you have Internet Explorer installed? This is required to view the Galactopedia topics. They are MHTML files which only IE properly displays.

Long, boring tale......Had to remove IE 9 and install Firefox as IE would not download DW-Legends. (Don't know why-probably an MS Feature). So, and thank you very much, have now reloaded IE 9 and figured how to keep it out of my way while still letting some programs (DW) use it. All is well, for now.

Thanks very much for the help....really.

No problem - glad you got it going ok.

I'm no fan of IE personally, but it has its uses [:)]

opera also works with mhtml if you want to skip IE.

Yes, unfortunately part of IE includes a lot of the components that help Windows with internet-based stuff in general. It's a good idea to use a different browser, but keeping IE installed (and not using it) avoids creating other issues for Windows.

Good suggestion on Opera too.
