New to the forum, but I do second this "more control on population", was the first thing I checked when I got the game. Indeed I started a game with the lava loving lizard and quicly ended up with a full collony of "dolphin", whith the major empire at my border being the dolphins too. Now I got Guizean in one of my colonies for a reason I do not now and I can not do anything. This is an ocean planet founded by the dolphins (sorry at work I do not remeber the names...) so I can not "clear off" the guizean without harming the dolphins, hurting half of my colonies (stong dolphin population) and most probably ending at war with by nice and friendly neighbour!!! The idea that multicultural empire should be harder to protect against spies is a very good one too!!!
