Dracus -> hi everyone some issues (11/29/2011 1:43:07 AM)

After trying to find a replacement for SEV and finding Armada would not run correctly at all, I found distant worlds. bought all three. The game seems fun at the moment; even setting the raiders to low, the armada popping up behind my borders over one of my planets early game really kicked me good.

I like the game so far, but wish that the gas clouds would not show up in the mining list once a mine exist there, be it my mine or another race. It should be a list of last known, that way if a mine is distroyed it still does not show up unless you re-scout or send a construction crew there. Since they show up in the list, I have the game repeatly trying to send construction crews there just to turn back.

Also I think the game has a memory leak: after a number of re-loads, re-starts, or a few hours the game crashes and I have to launch it again.

Is there a way to keep my fleets from heading to refit when I tell the advisor to refit my ships, I would like a way to refit all ships not in a fleet without having my fleets head to a refit at the same time. It would be great if they where seperate commands.

Not sure if I fully understand your question, but you can cancel a fleet retrofit mission (if the fleet has not yet reached the construction yard) by clicking the Stop action button with the fleet selected. You can then retrofit the fleet manually yourself when it suits you.

You can also turn off advisor retrofit suggestions in the Empire Policy screen. In the Research & Design section, turn off the checkbox "Prompt for Retrofit when new tech becomes available"

Thank you for responding, what I am asking is there a way to tell every non fleeted ship to go refit without having to go to each ship or traking down and stopping large numbers of fleets from all heading in to refit at the same time

You can control retrofit manually in the Ships and Bases screen. You can multi-select ships in the list (Ctrl-click) and then click the Retrofit button. If the selected ships are all of the same type then you can also select the specific design you want to retrofit to.

You can also separately retrofit fleets in the Fleets screen using the Retrofit button there.

Post patch I'm seeing what looks like to be a memory leak myself Elliot.
Game loads fine, start or load my game. CPU sits around at 25% and memory at around 250k. Then as the game plays, longer and longer, it keeps going up till I have lag and stuttering. I have to close out when my CPU reads up at around 95% and memory at 970k +/-

I did not watch the development, but while lagging I saw the same numbers myself. Just shy of 1Gb memory and close to 100% use of all four cores.

This is fixed in 1.7.0.3
