pmattiasn -> xAP West Point stuck in Calcutta! (12/3/2011 9:14:30 AM)

Hi,

just started a new AI game. Ironman v3, I think under the latest beta (p3?). I sent the initial IO reinforcements already on ships (18th Brit ID etc) to Calcutta. And they all steamed happily up the river and started unloading. However, several turns later I realize that AP West Point apparently is too big to get out?!? I've tried disbanding and forming new TFs, setting various destinations etc but nothing works. Really annoying as I do not want to continue and I haven't kept enough saves to go back to before it went into port.

Restart the only option to letting it sit there for the rest of the war?

Cheers,
M

Well using the right pwhex file for the mod might solve the issue. One point of interest though is how she steamed up the river in the first place...

This might be the tech section, but I believe you'll get more joy out of the modder (Andy) in the threads devoted to Ironman V3.

Don't trash your game there will be a fix for you.

Thanks, good point - have moved my question there.

It sounds Like a bunch of squid (Annapolis) programmers to me. ...A clear case of evil-doing!

Go Army! Beat Navy!

I'd turn her into a floating casino for R & R.[8D]

If no new Pwhex file comes along, a shallow water scuttle is way cheaper than the alternative.[:D]

Andrew Brown -> RE: xAP West Point stuck in Calcutta! (12/7/2011 10:03:11 AM)

I added the ability to get ships out of Calcutta to my map data file I created to let ships out of Portland. I have zipped up the map data file and I am attaching it here. My suggestion is that you make use of this file for as short a time as possible, then revert to the usual map data file.

This package is intended to be used with the Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabled program, which makes it easy to enable/disable mods like this one. Unzip the contents to where you have AE installed, then run JSGME to load/unload the modified map data file.

If not using JSGME, then make sure you make a backup copy of the existing map data file (pwhexe.dat) before using this one.

Please let me know if there are any problems or questions.

Andrew
