republicofpepsi -> 1.7.0.4 - Possible Bug? - Able to build in AI empire (12/4/2011 2:44:33 AM)

If I see a planet with a resource I want in an AI zone of influence I cannot build a mining station by clicking on the planet, however in the expansion planner if I see the planet there I can click "Queue next construction ship to build mining station here" and it sends and builds a mining station even if the planet is currently in another empires zone of influence.

Since you are not at war right - and even then - this will have diplomatic effects... that is bad. I guess "enemy" planets should be coloured red in the planar. It would still be your choice to violate it's border though...

I just wasn't sure if it was intended or not, since it is greyed out in one area of the UI but able to be circumvented elsewhere.

No, it should not be able to construct there unless you are at war.

Well spotted.[:)]

Thanks for finding that one.

I'm assuming this is for the "Resource Targets by Your Empire Priority"? We'd previously fixed all other options ("Potential Colonies", "Resource Targets by Galaxy Priority"), but not this one. [:)]

Fixed in the next update.
