Admiral Mitscher -> How do I Upload a Signature? (12/16/2011 2:25:13 AM)

My Son made me up a real cool forum signature, and I have been trying to install it. Now I am not a total computer dummy, but this is driving me nuts. My Son told me that all I have to do was upload it onto the site and it will work. I have been trying to do this for hours now, and it just won't work. Can someone please help me here, as everyone else I know is tapped out of ideas?

1) You have to hotlink it. You need to upload it somewhere on the internets. Imageshack, etc. It's free.

Then when it's uploaded

2) Use the [ image ] [ / image], no space, and the link of the photo between the brackets. It should be http://img.picofmysonetc

Apply and that's it.

Thank you TulliusDetritus for you help, it all makes sense now. I just felt the 'click' go-off in my head, I must be a little dumber than I thought I was. I will get strait onto your instructions now, thank you again.

North Star, then onto the Med, that must of been some hard work. [;)]

Nashvillen... It is debatable who's signature contains the targets, but yours looks very fine. [:'(]

Can't take the credit for mine, as my Son did it for me (my Christmas present). I'm very proud of what he did, and him. [&o]

I didn't do mine either. I work with a terrific Graphic Artist who took some images and a concept and performed her magic. It cost me a lunch. She wouldn't take anything more.

I'm 99% sure I'm right here on that picture on the 03 level around frame 100-120. And I'm pretty sure I would have been either sleeping, playing spades or playing some game on a Commodore 64 or Mac Plus. I remember looking outside for maybe 20 minutes before I'd seen enough of Eygpt from the flight deck. That was a long time ago.


Somewhere at my father's house there's a cruise book from 1989, I'll have to find it. Especially since my last profile pix somehow got messed up. [8|]

I have mine in a box in the attic. When you dig yours up, take a look at the AIMD Dept, IM3 Division. There is a mug shot of then AT3 Floyd in there. If I remember correctly, I was wearing BC's in the pic! [:D]

Deal and although I don't think there's a mug shot of me in the book, (was in Diego Garcia drinking San Miguels pretending to supervise the corrosion det for that evolution) I think I made the book somewhere else. I'll use that image of myself for a profile pix for the next month. LOL

One thing is for sure - I'll have a little hair on my head which is not the case today. [:D]
