skukko -> collapsing hexes!! (1/12/2001 6:24:00 PM)

Hello people : ) While I had ISP problems I did little editing and noticed one well forgotten thing; (Atleast I haven't seen ) -answer to why greenhexes collapse and immobilises vehicles : When building a hex with mouses right button, it fills multiple hexes. When you want to build a road thru the village you simply cut houses off the road with left mousebutton. Great, this really works. Does it do it allways? I build a hex with multiple-hex building, industrial, or something like that, and when I deside that I don't want it there I remove it by clicking left mousebutton. It goes away and I draw the road there and everybody cry's for help. It seems to me that I should move multiplehex buildins by clicking on every hex it has been taken, or by clicking right mousebutton at the center of the bigbuilding. So, when removing things off map, I'll suggest to look with cursor if there is some scratch left. sorry for bothering if I was the last one who noticed this... mosh

Yeah, I noticed this to while playtesting a map I made. In one case while playing I had a large open plain where I wanted good LOS but there was none and I didnt realize untill I went over the plains hex by hex with my mouse an found many invisible 5-10-15 foot slopes and hills. I noticed they were right where I had deleted and changed a hill I had wanted there previously. I put one and one together and have been very careful while editing since I have also ran into the invisible building on a road So now that your ISP is back up Im expecting the last turn to our game an the start to the other we had planned Gurney
