DerTroof -> RE: DLC France Scenarios French are to strong (2/19/2012 5:18:18 PM)

I agree with the OP. Not only is the French armored corps and l'Armee de l'air far too strong and well-organized in the late campaign scenarios, but it's really disappointing that the AI isn't held to the same restrictions re unit generation and OOB as the player. It's absurd that AT units can apparently generate in the woods without a controlled city nearby, and that the French have apparently limitless reserves of aircraft, cavalry and armor. (Referring especially to the Aisne scenario, but it seems to have happened elsewhere as well). I actually like the Giraud scenario, and applaud the designers for trying something new here. However, it would be nice for the Germans to have a few non-core units to expend on the raid, rather than sacrificing cores. I understand that this was a one-side campaign in real life, but I think a better strategy to make these scenarios playable would be to impose diificult time and distance requirements on the German player. That would be more realistic too. Instead, it's like fighting the battle of Kursk without Tigers and Panthers.
