How does the AI handle promotions for leaders in champaigns? What factors does it weigh. sometimes it seems arbitrary. thanks

Leaders are promoted in the long campaign. I am in '42 and all my leaders have been elite for awhile. I occasionally get some of my 2LTs promoted to 1LT so far. In the original SP promotions were based on experience. I could predict when they would be promoted. Your observation about promotions in SPWAW seems correct. I can not see any pattern. Perhaps there is a check after each battle with higher experiences having a better chance of promotion. ------------------ An old soldier but not yet a faded one. OK, maybe just a bit faded.
