Excellent work Skyros, thank you! [:)]

The only error I notices is that since the later beta patches DB alt is not 10-15 but 10-14k, dpends on
which version you are playing obviousely.

dorjun driver -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/15/2012 3:06:33 PM)

Looks great. Thanks.

LoBaron -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/15/2012 8:23:21 PM)

Found minor stuff which looks like copy/paste error:

Hex side / Terrain description reads:
Coral Reef / Bring up the Industry Management Screen

And:
TF Type / Description
Escort / Bring up the Industry Management Screen

What does the color code mean on ship types?

Great work, this lies now next to my PC!

Skyros -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/15/2012 8:53:39 PM)

I re-posted with fixes and addition of additional items for aircraft. The colors refer to Yellow with Black printing Small Escorts, Yellow with Red lettering Small Escort/Craft and Green is Small Craft. That way you can identify them in the chart.

This has been changed, there is no spoilage at a port + airfield equal to or greater than 9.

cantona2 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 1:19:03 PM)

Thanks

I can fix that, any idea when that changed?

mikkey -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 2:32:14 PM)

Excellent work, thank you Skyros!

sanderz -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 3:08:43 PM)

great bit of work - a MUST print - thanks

on the subject of spoilage i don't know the answer but found this in the patch notes following a search for "spoilage"

91. Interface Improvement: Added supply and fuel spoilage limit to base screen if there is a limit (af + port < 9).

Skyros -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 3:54:46 PM)

Thanks for the info, I updated the spoilage chart.

Skyros-

I do the same, but about 15% as well as you have done.

Great work, and thanks for sharing. [&o]

Gridley380 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 5:53:48 PM)

A few questions about altitudes:

Is there any difference for DBs in attacks at 10k vs 14k feet? Better or worse accuracy? More or less damage from flak? Seems like there ought to be...

For LBs/attack aircraft, similar question: what are the pros and cons of attacking at 1k vs 5k for naval targets?

Should the 2nd to last line on page 8 actually read "(3)Group altitude >7k"?

jeffk3510 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 6:25:37 PM)

If an AA gun you are flying against has a ceiling of 13k and you fly at 14k, that is far better than flying at 10-13k...

jeffk3510 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 6:43:22 PM)

Unloading rates with different ship types are an excellent resource to include in this I would think. That leadership table as well..

Schanilec -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 6:55:15 PM)

Excellent stuff Sykros. I'm putting a gold star for today on the refrigerator for your good work.[;)]

Treetop64 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (1/16/2012 7:46:06 PM)

I think that an aircraft takes AA fire at the incoming altitude and then again at the release altitude. So a DB arriving at 14,000 feet and then dive bombing and releasing at 3000 feet would take two AA fire checks, one at 14,000 and one at 3,000. TB work the same also. A level bomber or DB/TB set to level bomb will only take one AA fire check since the arriving and release altitude are the same.

LoBaron -> RE: Refrence Sheets (2/16/2012 8:40:48 AM)

This earns a bump from time to time...

Justus2 -> RE: Refrence Sheets (2/16/2012 11:26:00 PM)

Thanks Skyros for the great resource! One question, the sheet that lists the various altitudes for types of bombers - why aren't Torpedo bombers listed? What are the advantages of the altitudes? I do remember seeing something that TBs without torpedos will glide-bomb at certain altitudes.

I am always trying to figure out good settings for my carrier groups, I usually use 12-13K for the dive bombers and torpedo bombers, but I notice the default for the TBs is 9K? If there is too much seperation, will they have trouble with a coordinated attack (I know they do on land) or is there something that will override that so carrier groups fly together? Same with the fighters, do they need to be set to the same as the DBs/TBs, or can they be up at 15K?

Historiker -> RE: Refrence Sheets (2/16/2012 11:36:44 PM)

A list "What Airport size is necessary for a plan" is missing :)

Mac Linehan -> RE: Refrence Sheets (2/19/2012 2:29:43 AM)

Skyros -

Very well done and highly usefull!

Thank You, Sir!
