Dreadgod -> RE: What does experience do? (1/27/2012 8:02:01 PM)

The first benefit you'll see is that experience is applied as a bonus to Initiative. If you CTRL+click when preparing for an attack, or if you hit L after an attack, you'll see that experience level (100, 200, 300, etc.) adds to that value. Makes for some veeeery extra punch before you get hit back. :) And like you've already seen, a unit can be overstrengthed between 1-5 points based on their experience. Now, if that overstrength worth the extra prestige? Well, that's a personal choice for the commander on the ground (you!). Answering that all depends on your objectives, the equipment you have available, your available prestige, and all the other variables. Extra strength is VERY handy, but personally if the choice is between upgrade or overstrength, I go with upgrade most of the time.
