Question, when you give an attack order to a certain location do the units attack on their own? I watched a short 5 minute video but do you guys know of any other videos out there. I like the video over reading the manual

Hi,

Basically, if you give an HQ unit orders to attack then all units and/or (inc any other HQ's) formations reporting to that HQ will paticipate in that attack w/out you needing to get involved. This is true of any order ie. subordinate units/formations will do it "on their own".

However, if you give any order to a single non-HQ unit then only that unit will carry out the order -- attack, defend etc.

Sorry, I don't know of any COTA specific videos...............

Short answer = yes.

I recommend you try the BFTB Demo. See here for details: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2526000

It contains a full set of tutorial videos for BFTB. This is the next game in the Command ops series after COTA, so some fatures have changed buit it will give you a pretrty good idea.

perfect videos to learn this game, wow, it reminds me a little bit of the SSG games where you gave orders and the subord units did the work
