I'm new to Matrix Games, but I've wanted to get back into wargames for awhile now. I read a glowing review of "Unity of Command" in PC Gamer, and decided to try it out. I registered as a member, made the purchase, clicked on the download link, and got the following message from Plimus.com: "The requested page is not publically available.
If you believe this is an error, please contact support@plimus.com and mention the URL in question." I submitted a customer support ticket to Plimus, but I'm a little disappointed. I've downloaded dozens of games from Steam or Good Old Games with no problems, so I can't say this Plimus company has impressed me right out of the gate.

And not to be a grammar grognard or nothin', but who misspells "publicly"?

I have the same problem. Purchased this afternoon and cannot download. Cannot access server. My credit card was charged quickly enough. This is not anew problem for Plimus. Please advise. I have submitted problem request. I have never had a problem downloading on Steam. Verizon over AOL.

Open a helpdesk ticket

Trying a different browser sometimes works.

Tried MSN no success. This happens 50% of the time with Plimus. Matrix get a new sales partner.

MSN and AOL use Internet Explorer. Did you try Firefox or google Chrome?

Tried Google, still no go.

I've tried IE, Chrome, and Mozilla, but unfortunately none of them has worked for me either.

I've had it. Just process a refund.

I never had a problem with DR. Any buy from Plimus, I've had to jump through some kind of hoop to complete my purchase!!

telsblack -> RE: Download problem with a new purchase (1/31/2012 12:33:38 AM)

I received an automated e-mail from the Plimus support department with a new download link, which gave me the following message:

"Access forbidden!

You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster."

I also submitted a support ticket directly to Matrix, but haven't heard back from them yet.

C'mon, Matrix, this is really amateurish. This download service you've partnered with is gonna lose you a lot of business, starting with mine.

The saga continues. Alternate download sites didn't work. This should not be. I just asked for a refund and they're stonewalling. What a way to do business.

I also received a new download link from Matrix that worked like a charm. Thanks, Christian!
