I bought the game yesterday. And with 1920*1080 it works perfectly fine. But my only complaint unit detail screen and OOB screen could have better font size and more modern design.  But with 3.4 patch map and counter graphics are very neat just like WIE game. I recommend it.

16:9 is not a resolution but the aspect ratio of the screen and yes TOAW3 does support it giving a full screen pic on such a monitor. I'm using a notebook with a 19'' widescreen monitor at a resolution of 1440x900. [:)]

Yes, W7

Janium -> RE: TOAW AND 16/9 résolution (4/14/2012 1:18:11 PM)

I have purchased this game last week and also wasn't satisfied with the fonts (and the resolution). I noticed several ini's in the main program map and started tinkering. That's how I accidently discovered TOAW had not recognized the native resolution of my laptop. So I changed it from 800x600 to 1280x800 ('Opart 3.ini'). That made a HUGE difference! TOAW also didn't notice my dual core, so I enabled that setting too, although I'm not sure it made any difference.

I still wasn't satisfied with the fonts. So I tuned 'Opart 3 Fonts.ini' until I was. I changed the font from Times Roman to Arial (windows font) and changed various other options.

If you want to try it yourself, make a copy of your original 'Opart 3 Fonts.ini' and change the content to this:

Janium -> RE: TOAW AND 16/9 résolution (4/15/2012 7:45:05 AM)

By the way: changing the 'windowsFont' settings to 'Y' HUGELY effected the 'scrollability' of all briefing and info screens on my computer. Scrolling was incredibly slow on my laptop and is now as fast as any other windowsprogram. But this might be an issue only on my (older) tabletpc.

Metalist -> RE: TOAW AND 16/9 résolution (7/29/2012 1:39:47 PM)

Hi guys, i don't want to start a new thread so i am writing here. My game is bordered and i want to make it full-screen. How can i do that? My monitor's resolution is 1440x900. And game version is 3.4.

Edit: Thanks to Oberst Klink, there is no problem.
