Jay Doubleyou -> looking for skilled opponent (2/2/2012 6:46:03 PM)

Hi folks, I'm looking for a (very) skilled and experienced opponent for a 1 vs 1 game.
We can play a random scenario, russia41 or another scenario if you have a good suggestion [;)]
Reply here or send me a pm.

I'll play a random scenario, medium to large map. Set it up and send to me. You have my email address. Only stipulation I would propose is no declaration of war before start of turn 2 or 3 so that at least the second player has one or two turns to move before war is declared.

No problem with that.
I will create a medium map, 1 town start, shroud.

In a 1 town start my proposed stipulation is a moot point. I doubt either us will be prepared to go war that early.

If you want a skilled player I think maybe I can satisfy your needs. :D
But time is limited and I can only play small random map.
And as you wish one town start and shroud. you can set other rules freely but you had better tell me in the mail.
Also, in order to counteract the first move advantage, Once our frontline are contacting anywhere, the first mover must use 20PP to declare war right now.
So you can choose whether you will be the first mover.
Call me whenever you are free and I will appreciate it. Kloselinz@hotmail.com
Best wishes.

Calliope

Sorry, but I don't play small maps.

Have room for another 1 vs 1. Player needs to be (very) skilled and experienced.
Historic WW2 scenario or random game with 1 town start.
Must be able to return a turn at least every 48 hours, during weekend more often.

Calliope -> RE: looking for skilled opponent (2/11/2012 4:06:26 PM)

Or Medium map and one town start?
I can play large maps only if I have known that someone is very skilled. I don't like to see the game was finished in few turns if the opponent is too weak and that is just a waste of time. So I would like to test the opponent at first by a not big map.
If medium map isn't satisfy your needs and that is ok. let's forget it.

Best wishes

I would be up for it. I dont have many multiplayer games under my belt against more than just a friend of mine. But id consider my self a part of the top rung of players. Id perfer a ww2 scenario. I have 3 games of War in the East multiplayer ive played out to completion, if that doesnt count as experiance I dont know what does. Maybe actually finishing a game of WITP.

My only qualm is I dont want to spend 4 hours simming the totally useless AI. East front scenarios, or pocket scenarios of major conflicts would be perferable to WaW or GD1938 as its stocked full of AI that just allows XP abuse. Nothing cheesier than 99xp panzers because the AI threw rifles at them for 15 turns.

Medium map 1 town start is fine. I'll start one and send it to you.

Perfect. WITE was a little bit too much micro management for me, so i returned to AT(G).
I will pm you to choose the ww2 scenario.

Whoever plays Jay, be prepared for a tough game. He is a very good ATG player. I'm going to have to refine my play style to have a better chance against players of Jay Doubleyou and Jeff Reid's caliber. They have both defeated me rather handily.
