Thanks for the info, look forward to more news.

Sapa -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/18/2012 6:45:01 PM)

Sadly i must say...i dont care anymore...

Platoon_Michael -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/18/2012 8:34:18 PM)

I just don't find it to be truthful,and if it is what if more bugs become evident?
Wait again,

Are there plans to test any patches before release this time?

If not then the programmer's law of unintended consequences all but guarantees that patching bugs in creaky old code will inadvertently create new ones.

Andrew Williams -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/19/2012 5:32:35 AM)

Hence the situation we have now ;)

Steveo -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/21/2012 2:20:37 PM)

I'm so glad I read this thread; I was about to buy this game after enjoying TLD so much but I think I'll pass.

heckler -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/21/2012 3:00:41 PM)

I trust that this is going to get worked out- maybe not as soon as we all would like-but it will get done. Visually, the game is a gem-best looking of the series! And I think the mod's I keep reading about (GJS in particular) will make me very happy to have made the purchase once things are all worked out.

Sapa -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (2/23/2012 9:00:41 AM)

You have at least the opportunity to (maybe) buy a working game...

"I think i will by the new car model...but i must wait a year so that all the others buys it and make the tests that should have been done in the factory"

[:(]

Hello Erik, do you have any news for us already?
Thanks.

I believe that a Matrix next week can mean anything between a real week and a real year ;)

can't simply choose to take the remaining stuff and make it somehow 'open-source' so that it would get a chance to get fixed.

Speaking of open source, presume you've come across Open Combat:

Erik Rutins -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/1/2012 3:01:53 PM)

Hi everyone,

We had the meeting and we are working on the updates right now. We have beta versions that should be available next week.

Regards,

- Erik

DAK_Legion -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/1/2012 3:10:19 PM)

Hi Erik!

could also speak of CCMT at their meetings???

we need to create OPS and GCS with several maps

Erik Rutins -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/1/2012 3:48:31 PM)

Hi DAK,

We did discuss CCMT and we agree that it will get an update, but we did not have time in this iteration to do that update. We have that scheduled for later this year to bring it up to date with the improvements in the other titles as far as AI and pathfinding especially.

Regards,

- Erik

... or maybe have it the other way around? Base CC VI on LSA but incorporate CCMT's unique attributes!

Have faith people. Erik was educated in Missouri. If anyone can fix it he can.

But now this week is almost at the end :)

Platoon_Michael -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/8/2012 10:50:55 PM)

How much support And how long will support will be given to any of the re-releases?

Seems like COI&CCMT is waaaaay behind in terms of updates. And these current re-releases require pretty big updates as well.
I'm just curious at what point will Matrix decide "That's IT" were not doing any more updates?

Erik Rutins -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/9/2012 5:54:34 AM)

Hi Michael,

We don't know the answer to that either, but we are very much interested in supporting these games by fixing any critical issues to make sure they are enjoyable and replayable for a long time to come.

The week ends on Saturday. It looks good as far as having some new beta updates posted by then.

Regards,

- Erik

Sapa -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/9/2012 4:26:07 PM)

Jiiiipi! Please let me know when the the new patch is tested..meanwhile i play Antsmasher in my phone, it is funnier, great graphics and doesent crash :(

kweniston -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/9/2012 8:08:51 PM)

I'm not an expert at this, but while we're at it, could some effort be put into making some hardcoded (exe) features soft-coded? This is a gripe for many modders I believe.

Looking forward to the beta, will test.

Why not say that you don't know when the next public beta will be released. Saturday in Europe is more or less over and it don't look to good IMO when there's no proper communication like "We have been ... and while it's not ready here are some dev notes and some screenshots what we're working on". I share the fear of some that the dev team is significant small :(

Platoon_Michael -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/11/2012 4:15:10 AM)

I'm not trying to poke fun at anyone here but Personally I'm not that excited about a new "Beta" update as Erik mentions.

Beta means Dave starts a new GC.
GC crashes.
Dave has to wait for another "Beta"
The new Beta doesn't allow one to continue there current GC.

Dave starts waiting all over again for the Next Beta.

kweniston -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/11/2012 1:47:21 PM)

Well, what we have now is a broken GC already, so it can not be much worse. I am hopeful.

Erik Rutins -> RE: It's been 6 months now... (3/11/2012 9:27:48 PM)

Hi everyone,

I am in the office working on the installers. I'm sorry I'm a bit late, but these are not imaginary updates and you'll have them very soon. [8D]

Regards,

- Erik
