GenChaos33 -> Latest Official Patch - Combat Replay Map Issue (2/11/2012 4:18:41 AM)

Since the new patch when I watch the combat replay, I'm getting a map glitch (half map on one side/half map on other side). It happen sometimes as the replay goes from combat area to combat area but not all the time. I don't think it cause any problem, but just visually it bugs me. I'm posting a pic of what it looks like. But Note - its not an actual screenshot. I believe this has happened before, but was working fine before the official patch.

It is a timing issue with drawing the map segments. If you are running with short delays, this is how it manifests itself. Fast CPUs can also do this if it does have time to finish the draw in one go.

The other thing is that the message shown on the map screen can cut off on that segment line also.

This can and has happened in every release.

I'll recheck my delays. Almost all are at 3 secs. But a few are at .5. I think surf combat and air bombarding. I did notice that air bomb have some added graphics in the scope area. So maybe I'll try longer delay there. Thanks.

If it is happening generally, rather than around an animation, it might be the Map Scroll or the Message delay (one under it?).
Can happen if you speed up messages by pressing space bar from memory?

Changing the Air Bombardment (Air to Ground Combat) to a longer delay did fix the problem.
