O2: Bought 112 CL44 in O2, between 0 and 6 years old. Used these to replace older examples. Also bought some newer Constellations to replace older planes. R5 (US): After a week of new deliveries, had to spend an age Friday\Saturday replacing old with new. Not added any new routes. R2 (Australia): Prop planes switched to the Hawker Siddeley HS 748 - it has much longer range which helps in Australia 82 CL-44 Yukon on order! Need to start thinking about another type to use. I have short and long haul props and an inefficient long haul jet. 747 springs to mind though none of the early versions looks special. Any experiences of long haul Douglas DC10? R4 (Japan): First 767-300ER entered service. MEUS seems to be the only airline paying close attention to the domestic market. R6 (Russia): A bridge too far? Set up a little Russian airline --- I probably cannot keep all 3 new airlines expanding, even with low effort in O2 and R5. I set up R2 and R4 at the same time. In R2 there are more airlines in Australia than in R4, and in R4 more airlines in Japan than Australia. Not yet sure if having more airlines in a country is a good thing or not - more competition, but those competitors also have more rivals themselves. One last question - why pre-order a plane? There are 114 737-200Adv pre-orders in R2, and I can't see why these should be ordered so far in advance?
