I have been playing the GC as the Soviets. I noticed that many of my tank brigades have almost no light tanks. This is because they have been assigned T-50 tanks, but the T-50 factory has been shut down. There are some T26 tanks available. Shouldn't the tank brigades switch to use those tanks that are available?

The default light tank for the tank brigade is the T-60 not the T-50. The T-50s probably came in reinforcement brigades. Pull the brigades out of the line and put them in Refit. This procedure should force a swap out of the T-50s for T-60s. Because they are obsolete it is very unlikely to get T-26s as replacements.
