I've been loving watching F1 since the 80s and I was a teenager. I didn't know the difference between F1 and Indy and loved both, but F1 was always a favorite. Of course, back then, it seems like the only race I ever got to watch was Gran Prix of Monaco.

Lauda is omnipresent in the media here, he's got an opinion on everything and of course claims only his opinion is the correct one. And of course, he gets asked by the media here on pretty much about everything. And he changes his opinions like his socks every day. Best example; when that volcano in Iceland broke out, whatshisname, Eyafjallakjodoodle [:D] there was a period when flights were prohibited througout most of Europe. Lauda, when asked, said this was the right decision, as it was "logical". A couple of days later, he was an outspoken critic of this same suspension of flights, as it was "logical" to continue flights... Sometimes, I think that even when 3 chickens roll over and die on some odd farm in the remotest Corner of Austria, Lauda will get asked by some local newsman why this happened. And of course, Lauda will issue his opinion, which of course will be "logical" and the only correct one. Lauda, Austria's "expert-on-everything"... Long story short, he gets on my nerves [:D]

Anyone watch the Grand Prix Legends programs on Sky? The one with Prost was interesting. He maintains he got unfavourable treatment from Honda when at McLaren, but Gordon Murray (in a separate program) vehemently denies it.... Would love to know the truth.

Coming back to the cars, I love the sound of them and the design is just like how a Formula 1 car should look like. I haven't seen much of them yet, just the qualifying, but by joves they do look spiffing. Mat

I just hope the races are more exciting than the pit lanes VIP's this year. Niko was so overwelmed with winning he parked his car in the wrong place, Magnusson parked on the other side of the pit, a tad too much near the middle perhaps? Anyway Ricciardo couldn't fit in the middle space, the marshal placed the No.2 sign just in front of his car. So they officals got their bit of excitement at the end of the race. Nice win for Mercedes. Maclaren surprised me and Vettel might have to worry about his team mate, I just hope he treats him better than he did Weber. Mat

Pole no.2 for Lewis [&o] He now breaks the record no. of poles for an English driver - previously held by the brilliant Nigel Mansell, and joins the late, great Jim Clark as achieving the highest no. of poles for a British driver [&o] Let's hope he gets better luck in the race compared to Oz [sm=innocent0001.gif] P.S Lewis, and all you drivers - please stop changing your helmet designs [:@] It's just $%^&*%$��!!

I tell you what's awesome to see this year so far...the return of Williams to a more competitive form! I'm not the biggest Williams fan of old but they are in the 'grand ole team' club and its nice to see them do well. Also nice to see...Alonso 2, Raikkonen 0 in both qualy and finishing [8D]

Raikkonen is hopefully proving what I have always felt - he is the most overrated driver since Nelson Piquet.
