Simulation01 -> Cool Flags (3/23/2012 11:38:22 PM)

I saw this article today and thought I'd share the joy....

Interesting, some would look good in DW too!

Yeah, I thought so too. I don't have the tools for flags atm though. However, I was thinking that maybe kallthaniel, or someone else might be interested. [:)]

Yeah I looked at making flags a long time ago and they are a particular software specific file or something odd like that [&:]

Anyway, a filetype I haven't come across.

Igard -> RE: Cool Flags (3/24/2012 4:11:13 PM)

Those flags are great!

The .wmf (windows metafile) filetype is too much of a pain to work with for me. I've given up with them.

I'd prefer if each race had a .jpg or .png image for its flag. There could be a border around the flag with the race's primary colour. No secondary colour would be needed.

I think it opens with gump or definiately apple quicktime stuff...

Yeah, Igard I definitely wish the flags had followed the same path as the ship images.

I remembered a link where Matys had posted his flags and he once described the process a bit.... this is the thread and you will find the post near the bottom of the first page:

I may give this a shot.
