Ironbottum_sound -> Request for tools (4/4/2012 2:29:21 AM)

I have an AMD with 64 bit..which i guess that means I can't use the WITP tracker (I hate the idea of my computer being 'too good' to use something)..so am I doomed to not have any kind of tool to track my forces? Is there anything else out there?

I have an AMD Phenom II quad core, and have no problems. Are you using the right .dll file? (pwsdll.dll)

You also need the 64 bit Java and change you .bat file to launch it. It is all on the tracker site.

n01487477 ( better known as Damian ) is extremely helpful if you post any problem concerning tracker in the WitPTracker AE Release 1.8 Available! subforum, although I think the previous posters have given you the solution to this particular problem.

I run mine on a 64-bit system no problem. [:)]

Same here.... all you need to do is install a 32 bit version of the jre (into a seperate directory as the default) and then edit the startup batch file to point to that jre.... tis a piece of cake......

If you have not yet loaded Java, here is a trick. Load Google's Chrome browser. Currently it is 32 bit and so only uses 32 bit Java. While in Chrome, go get Java and let it install. Now you have 32 bit Java on your system which should work fine for everything else too. If any other browser needs 64 bit Java I'm sure they will tell you at the appropriate time. And if you get any application that needs 64 bit Java, same thing - it will tell you.

Any 32 bit Windows application should work in a 64 bits MS OS.
