Hanal -> Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/13/2012 10:02:28 AM)

Part nostalgia but also a great part wanting a this title again, I recently pledged for OGRE which will be released via the Kickstarter program. I had enjoyed this game when it first came out and am looking forward to the deluxe presentation being offered here. The game is not cheap but they are adding extras to it as the pledges continues to grow and will probably out perform D Day dice as the #1 funded game on Kickstarter. (D Day dice is a game I regret not pledging to when I had the chance, and so will not make the same mistake here!)

OGRE and GEV still are 2 of my all time Fave Games!

nate25 -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/13/2012 6:27:04 PM)

OGRE was the first wargame I ever played, and I've loved them ever since.

Damn you, Steve! [;)]

Jeffrey H. -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/13/2012 8:01:26 PM)

OGRE was cool, I really liked that one. SJG's are still fun to play, I regularly play Awful Green Things from Outer Space.

Perturabo -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/13/2012 10:47:50 PM)

Damn, I hoped it was going to be a computer version.

ilovestrategy -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/14/2012 6:26:36 AM)

Ogre rocked. I loved that and Car Wars.

I'd like to take this time to say................

NERDS

Seriously, I'm glad that stuff like this is kept alive. I hope all those that get it will try to bring some of the younger generations to the table.

I'd like to buy that OGRE 2012 t-shirt but I don't want anyone to think I support a certain candidate.

In case you did not see this in the FAQ:

Foreign Shipping - We WILL be offering foreign options, at least for Canada, Europe, and Australia. But we're warning you now: we’ve been looking very hard, and everything we find is expensive. You may get a better deal through your regular retailers.

I totally feel you.

Dear Dances With Dice;

If you had to explain then she never was yours. Next time ask the date prior to commitment if she knows what a Covered Arc is. If she says something to put two of each animal in, she might not be the one for you. Besides, everyone knows the quickest way to a mans heart is duplicate boards 1-4

Awesome. That was like some kind of bad acid trip. Who thinks of that stuff?

Hanal -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/15/2012 5:38:31 AM)

US only. At this time, our bids for shipping are so high that we are not offering foreign shipping on games.

That says all [:(]

I sent an email to Steve Jackson regarding this and recommended that they should open up a new pledge tier strictly for Canadian/Oversees customers which would include the shipping cost amount. He replied and stated that that was exactly what they were working on but want to get the lowest shipping cost possible. So keep an eye on the Kickstarter page and hopefully thay will come up with a Foriegn customers only pledge tier that might meet your needs.

deragoku -> RE: Ogre Lands on Kickstarter! (4/23/2012 2:55:43 AM)

This is really interesting and on-site.
