Do you plan to offer, one day, some linked firefights through which we could keep with us some units with more experience?

I think campaigns are on the todo list. I hope so as thats where the real play will be and it will make the game a thousand times better again.

The game is crying out for a campaign system. Squad scale wargames always shine in campaigns where units are carried forward as it adds even more of an attachments to the unit's. Though this being more of a boardgame style squad game I'm not sure attachment to units comes into it. Thats normally the case when individual soldiers are accounted for say in APOS or CC.

Can anyone tell me if you do become attached to units when it's more like a boardgame? I have a feeling in an intense long fight in a game like ASL where a squad has held out for ages in say a city fight in Stanlingrad scenario you'd start to grow attached to it.

Yes, linked campaigns are indeed in our plans. [8D]

Wodin,
I can say that I'd definitely get attached to certain units during my ASL days. It hurt to lose them over time, even if only in a scenario. In massive campaigns like Red Barricades you would have squads that performed extremely well and it was tough to lose them. Also with individual tank units.

With named squad leaders the attachment was even more, but there won't be those in this game.

I always looked for the personal aspect of the game, which is why I preferred tactical games with squads and single vehicles.
