Cheesehead -> Computer movement? (5/8/2012 2:30:00 AM)

I'm still working my way through my first game against the Computer Axis. I've noticed that the computer movements are very strange in that they move units all over the map, then shift them around some more, than move units in territories, then out, then in, then back out again. I see ships moving into the north Sea, then out again, then back in, then back out. JP land units are shifting all over the place, sometimes into and out of territories 2 or 3 times as well. Is this the computers version of "thinking aloud?" I'm trying to make sense of the computer strategy and it sure seems frenetic...

This isn't a problem for me. I'm just curious as to what is going on with all the haphazard movement?

Thanks

John

Yup. That's pretty much it. The computer AI will march it's forces into an area, look at the odds, decide they stink, and then march them back out. Often mutiple times.

If you want to avoid watching all those moves just turn off "show move animation" and turns will also be played in a wink by the AI.
