Creating detachments (Full Version)

NOOB question. What is the best way to create an aircraft detachment? IE. split a squadron.
And is there a way to specify how many aircraft can be in said detachment.

Same question but for LCUs also.

Click on the Divide Unit button in the bottom left corner of the unit screen. It divides the unit into 3 Detachements of equalish size.

note: when splitting a sqn or LCU, set the TOE upgrade to OFF. if upgrades are ON, you could get a prob - if sub-units A & B might auto-upgrade, but there aren't be enough planes or devices in the pools to upgrade sub-unit C, you won't be able to re-combine the unit. you'll have to wait until your plane / device production has allowed all 3 sub-units to upgrade to the same 'spec'.

Sorry for the not so prompt reply but I have been looking and don't wont to look to stupid; however, I have looked all over all types of units but I do not see a divide button. I am choosing any ole base and randomly choosing all kinds of ground units and air but I still do not see the divide button.[&:]

Could you post a screen shot so I can see if I have a display error?[&o]

Only Divisional size LCU's can be divided. You can't dvide smaller LCU's (unfortunately).

Air units can not be devided if they are a detachement already and maybe some other rules apply, i am not sure.

The divide unit button is located close to the bottom left of the troop information screen (the screen you get when selecting a LCU/Air unit).

If it isn't there, you can't divide the unit.

if it is possible, than Divide button is in the left bottom corner of the Unit window
