Multiplayer - Login Syntax Error (Full Version)

MillertimeRC -> Multiplayer - Login Syntax Error (5/9/2012 1:47:45 AM)

When I try to connect to the Multiplayer Lobby, I am first prompted to create an account, which I do. Then it slowly loads the next sections.. about 20-30 sections per "Loading (whatever)..." window. Finally I get the error as shown. I click ok and go to a lobby where I am the only person. Clicking on any button returns the same Syntax Error message.

Sorry you're having this problem. Would you mind sending your serial number, login, password, and e-mail address to me at ericbabe@west-civ.com and I can see whether I can reproduce this error.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I had the same problem. It means your entering an ilegal password combination or the wrong password for the email. I had to go and dig up my old Siltherine account :-)

I have the same problem as well. In may case, I had created a new ID/password combination.

We fixed the issues, you should now be able to log in correctly

The issue is not resolved for me. I can get to the Lobby and today I saw one other person in the lobby, I could talk to them and even get to the host game screen. I didn't try to actually play as I didn't have time. However the forum options still give the Syntax error and I still get that while logging in.

Also, it takes 40-60 seconds from selecting Multiplayer on the menu to actually getting in to the lobby, is that normal?

yes that is the time it takes to log into the system.

Ok, checking to see if another fix is required on the forum side. Apparently some data related to your account was corrupted, this is why it's not affecting everyone.

Also, the initial login does take a while but once you are logged in and in the lobby/forum you can play multiple games without logging in again.
