Holland er et tegneseriehold, tegneseriehold, tegneseriehold!!!!!

Luck follows the fool or rather, if you cant score once in about 25 chances u dont win football games.

I can easily see the Danes taking a beating in all of their games, they've probably got the hardest group out of all the teams at the tournament.

Now we can give that fate to the british team [;)]

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Warspite1

Yes, yes you can.....and probably will [;)] Congrats on your victory earlier [:)]

TulliusDetritus -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 7:38:14 PM)

LOL

The Dutch kaputt! [:'(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 8:11:58 PM)

Germany vs Portugal - another open game. Early days but an entertaining tournament so far [:)]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 8:39:11 PM)

Half time 0-0. So if things stay this way at full time then Dixie will move into a 1 point lead. Will anyone break the deadlock?

TulliusDetritus -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 8:42:10 PM)

Half time

Weird feeling [8D]

I hadn't seen the Germans play since the World Cup... And now I see them... and the first thing I notice: "wait, they are playing like Spain!" [:D]

Almost no long balls at all. GK passes to defender, defender to midfielder, midfielder to attacker or winger. Short passes... er, like Spain!

Perhaps the problem is that maybe they don't have the right players to play this kind of football. Namely two great creative midfielders (Xavi and Iniesta) and an outstanding destructive midfielder (Busquets).

Still, it's rather weird. But you can understand it. You always tend to sort of imitate the winners. After all, they had been on the receiving end of Spain's amazing midfield.

Now just let's hope the primadonna (CR7 that is) is trashed [sm=innocent0001.gif]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 9:19:30 PM)

1-0 Deutschland! And with 15 mins to go Orm is sitting on 2 pts!

Looks like I've been robbed by Varela's inability to finish an easy chance! [:@]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 9:44:11 PM)

Yep - and Nani too....

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 9:46:49 PM)

So, after game four, everyone is off the mark, but its the Ormster, the Swedish maestro who takes the lead:

Orm 3
Redcoat 2
rogo727 2
Zeta 16 2
british exil 1
Dixie 1
warspite1 1

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 9:57:40 PM)

Tomorrow will be slightly more of a mixed bag in the first game: 5 have gone for a Spain win, 1 (Orm) for a draw and 1 (Dixie) for an Italy victory.

Game 2 is a win for Croatia except (warspite) who is going for a draw.

Terminus -> RE: European Championships (6/9/2012 11:33:48 PM)

Dang, the Dutch could NOT hit the box. Welp, then you ain't gonna win.

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:01:33 PM)

Well half time Spain 0-0 Italy, and the Ormster is sitting on ANOTHER 2 points!!! [X(][X(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:20:15 PM)

Not anymore!

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:21:27 PM)

1-1! Dixie was on for a point but Orm has just snatched it back [X(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:40:06 PM)

Torres!!! [X(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:41:46 PM)

Orm -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:51:10 PM)

Fun game. [:)]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:52:01 PM)

My turn - and Redcoat and British exil's turn to be denied the perfect score by an inability to take golden opportunities[:@]

It's another point for the Ormster [X(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 6:54:10 PM)

Anybody want to do the commentary for the next game? I'm off to watch the motor racing.

I am afraid I have to decline to comment the next game. I am going over to a friends place to watch the game.

Aye, you'd like that wouldn't you! But I feel you'll be disappointed when England fall at the first hurdle [:D]

I'm actually quite pleased the Danish won last night, it means that the Dutch will have to try hard against the Germans and Portuguese.

wodin -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 10:07:10 PM)

Want Germany to win and for Poland to do well. England are just overpaid overhyped underachievers.

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/10/2012 10:10:27 PM)

End of Day 3 and at last a decent number of correct scores being seen. The leader board looks like this as a result:

Orm.............5
Zeta 16........4
british exil....3
Dixie............3
Redcoat........3
rogo727.......3
warspite1.....1

A further mixed bag of predictions for the final 1st round of group games tomorrow! 1 France win, 3 draws and 3 England wins. In the last match we have 3 draws, 2 Ukraine wins and 2 for Sweden. Should continue to mix up the table!

only 1 Mr.W1? That's outrageous!!!!!![:D] So even tho you put me second to last, I am really tied for thrid place....[:'(]

warspite1 -> RE: European Championships (6/11/2012 5:26:52 AM)

No, 1 point and last is about par for the course for me [:)]

Er you are not second last, but this early in the comp I have just put ties in alphabetical order......

Orm -> RE: European Championships (6/11/2012 8:41:06 AM)

Since I am ahead it is a sure thing I will finish last. [:)]

I applaud those who predict an England win against in-form France tonight. I hope that you are right ... even if I lose a point in the leaderboard. Like most England supporters I fear the worst though. It may be fair to say that England 'does not expect'.

Dixie -> RE: European Championships (6/11/2012 6:37:49 PM)

The commentator has just said that Jordan Henderson is not everyone's idea o an international footballer.  Surely he isn't anybody's idea of an international footballer...
