Playing scenario 7 "Quiet China" as Japan, I have noticed that the Chinese are quite active.. this is as of December 20th
Does anybody knows when the AI should stop?

I haven't put a lot of attention to China, other than Hong Kong and some airport strikes... but the Chinese had certainly been a lot more challenging than I had expected (or wanted) for the last turns, to the point I am afraid the hordes will overrun some positions unless I move troops from Manchukuo.

Is it safe to assume that after one or two more months, it will stop?

best regards

Basically, the AI works on pre-written scripts for the strategic/higher level stuff. This is turned off on the Chinese front in a quiet China game, so you will not see large scale offensives. However, there is also a part of the AI that will attack when it sees weak stacks close to it's lines, this part remains. This means that at the start, there will be some battles in China to straighten the lines. After a while the AI will see no more easy pickings and stop it's attacks. Where and when this will be depends on where you move your troops.
