...pretend you are james t. kirk...you are tired of the color green...what warp/impulse speed do you order to doppler shift this girl to purple?

RevRick -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/24/2012 6:16:30 PM)

Since she would have to be moving away from you at a considerable percentage of C, show her a picture of Harcourt Fenton Mudd - that ought to do it.

Schanilec -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/24/2012 6:17:01 PM)

If your color blind, this would not be a problem.[;)]

geofflambert -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/24/2012 6:20:11 PM)

What the heck's wrong with green?

Nikademus -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/24/2012 6:20:47 PM)

James T Kirk says...."color? WHO CARES??!!!"

Warp Speed......to my Chambers.

Picard would muss about color, fashion sense and whether it is proper to invite the young miss to his quarters for some Earl Grey Tea and chit chat.

I'd just go over to the "Batman" set and experience her in tight leather.

Both are Yvonne Craig.

TOS quibble: it was Capt. Pike, not Kirk. In "The Menagerie" 2-parter, which used large portions of the first pilot for Star Trek which was never shown. She is seen in flashbacks out of Pike's mind during Spock's court martial.

...for the love of god, please leave quibbles out of this! those furry monstrosities still give me nightmares! [:-]

The Gnome -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/25/2012 6:12:54 PM)

One small quibble with the quibble, there were two episodes with the green ladies. The pilot episode "The Cage" later released as a two part episode "The Menagerie" features Susan Oliver as Vina, who appears in various guises (including an Orion slave girl) to tempt Captain Pike.

A later episode, "Whom Gods Destroy", features Yvonne Craig as Marta the Orion who tempted Kirk.

Hork. [:)]

Don't leave Quatrotriticale around the abode and the quibbles stay on the Klingon ship where they belon . . . were put.

Ack. You're right. I got green-green mixed up. I didn't look up "Whom Gods Destroy" and I haven't seen TOS in over ten years. Wasn't Craig's Orion character gassed in that one? Not sure she died though.

Nikademus -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/25/2012 6:56:35 PM)

Yup. Thats Psycho_ er....."Orion" from "Whom Gods Destroyed" Such a waste blowing her up. (puts on his Shatner acting cap) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the green chicks were FROM Orion, not named that. Of course, there's no star named Orion, but they're from that 'hood.

Or maybe they're from the sub tender?

So many green women, so little time...

The episode took part in a space aged mental hospital, and I think she got gassed or subjected to some sort of torture device, but didn't die - leaving a return visit/examination open for Capt. Kirk.

Nothing much, just your normal trials and tribblations.

danlongman -> RE: OT: Televisions (5/30/2012 2:22:21 AM)

The infamous Lord Garth of Izar "Limitless Power!!!"
Had Yvonne Craig the psycho green dancing Orion gurl
shoved out the air lock into the poisonous atmosphere where
she was prettily choking to death to Cappy Kirk's dismay at the
possible loss of a notch to his space bed post. Lord Garth then
detonated the explosive in the necklace she wore. Them green
Orion gurls was alien but I think they died if their heads got blowed off.
Kirk as a result did not boldly get to go where no man had gone
before in that episode.
