I am thinking that it would be great if there were a way to keep a "game history" so as to string together the AARs and set up an entire history of the East Front campaign. The problem seems to be that the game forgets the last turn, immediately on saving the next. There are a lot of really great AARs being done, and so to their authors, I am wondering if you just save everything, screenshots, etc, each turn to make them? Or is there a trick of actually keeping the entire history that I have somehow missed? Thus far, I had thought that since the engine keeps record of W-L as far as battles, that it would not be very difficult to actually also keep track of where they occurred, more than for the game's current turn.
Anyway, if any of the authors of the very good AARs have any clues to help with this, I would love to hear them.

The event log files are kept separately by turn for each player. Autosaves are also kept at the start of each side's turn. Other than those, I don't know of anything else.

You could build an animation from screenshots from the autosaves that would allow you to show the turn by turn events on the fronts.

Do not think you refer to my AARs, but anyway, I will update the AAR each time I do a turn.
I will use the Win7 notepap to take notes on, then figure out what sort of picture I want, take the screenshot(s). After the turn is finished, I will send the turn to my opponent, then paste the picture (if one, if I want more I will have to do it before I end the turn) into paint, and save.
Then straight into the AAR and update it.

Thank you both! I have seen enough very good ones (including from you I believe Terje) to begin thinking there was some sort of trick to getting it, but it appears just have to catch things before your turn ends, a lot like bug reports, so I will do that next.
