Do the squads in the game contain the LMGs that existed? I know that there are separate LMG units for both sides, but was wondering what firepower the squad's numbers actually represented.
I was just wondering so if I was making a scenario, does the squad have a LMG built in to the counter and it's firepower or does one have to assume that the squads are rifles only.

For the Germans, the MG-34/42 LMGs are definitely separate per historical tactics and based on their effectiveness so you have basically a rifle team/squad and a LMG teams. For the Soviets the DP LMGs are built in but the MMGs are separate.
