Now that I'm almost into May '42 in my first PBEM, I'm eager to get a second game going.

House Rules negotiable
Stacking Limits and Extended Map preferred

I'm not looking for a super fast game, but I have a flexible work schedule and will probably return the turns quickly (at least after the first month)

No. I'm discussing it with a potential player, but no joy yet. Seems likely that this will continue to be open.

Sadly, my potential opponent proved unable to explain why NOTHING that he told me checked out when I started looking into his identity. He was a brand new forum user who explained this by saying that he could not get into his old account and didn't have that email anymore. Ok, cool, but NONE of the people that he listed as past opponents could confirm that they had heard of the guy, and on top of that, he listed the same real name as one of the (alleged) past opponents. I confronted him about this earlier today and he has evidently been unable to come up with an explanation.

I have no idea what motivates some people to do what they do.

The point is this: I'm still looking for an opponent.

Sorry that you've run into this. But it could have been much worse. You might have been weeks or even months into a game. [:)]
