CRations -> Command HQ question (7/4/2012 4:50:19 AM)

This has probably been answered before but this infernal search engine seems to be beyond me at the moment...

In Bangkok is the statically assigned Royal Thai Army. If I set FO=Rangoon and I'm attacking Rangoon with units of the 15th Army (including the 15th Army HQ), will they receive that additional bonus that can be as high as 90 percent?

quote:

Command - Helps in several ways. They help in giving a bonus to ground
combat. If no Corps HQ is in range of a ground unit, the Command HQ can give
a bonus like a Corps HQ if it is in range of a ground unit. If there is a Corps HQ
within range of the battle, and the Command HQ is within 2 times its command
range of the battle, it can add up to an additional 90% bonus to the Assault
Value of an attacking force for odds calculations.
The bonuses are impacted by
the leaderships rating of the commander of the HQs.

Thanks in advance for the answer,

CR

Always wondered that myself. The explanation is straightforward enough. Seems like a gift, though, especially for the Chinese. I'll take it either way!

My bad - the Royal Thai Army is an Army HQ - the nearest Command HQ is the Southern Army Command HQ that starts out in Saigon...

In my original question the 15th Army would receive a bonus if the Southern Army Command HQ had FO=Rangoon as Rangoon is 18 hexes out (which is twice the command radius of the Southern Army Command HQ).

Sorry about the misleading question - I'm still reading through this manual and sometimes I misinterpret what I'm reading... [8|][8|]
