tankboy -> Looking for a very good Japanese opponent (7/10/2012 9:26:58 PM)

I am soon to be without an opponent. Will give my current one another day to respond. What is it about culminating in OCT '42 that causes Japanese opponents to quit? This is my second one to do that.

Striving for a historical balance with some work arounds to overcome "gameisms". Proposed house rules:

1. No quitting before 1 JAN 44. We can quit before then with mutual agreement.

2. Japanese garrisons:

a. 300 infantry squads in the Solomon Islands after AUG 42.

b. 1,200 infantry squads in the Phillipines after DEC 41.

c. 600 infantry squads in Malaysia after fall of Singapore.

d. 600 infantry squads in DEI after the fall of Batavia or Sporjaba (sp?).

3. No movement of Dutch ground or air units out of DEI until fall of Batavia or Sporjaba (sp?). Dutch units cannot change their higher HQ until then.

4. Allied 4 engine bombers stay above 10K on naval attack.

5. No Allied bombers below 1K before 1 JAN 43. Exception is bombers with torpedoes as default upload (Beauforts, etc.).

6. No Japanese naval forces of any kind E. of Singapore until it falls.

7. No Japanese naval forces, except subs, E. of Rangoon until it falls.

8. Japanese sub doctrine off.

9. Both sides no more than four vessels/ASW TF. Trying to make submarines more effective.

Willing to negotiate any house rule/s. Willing to commit on 12 JUL.

Tempting, but I've got 1 game going, a soon to start multiplayer WPO and I owe somebody the joy of beating my butt where I play the Japanese.
