Wow that must have taken a while to finish! Pretty cool though

Grfin Zeppelin -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 11:52:08 AM)

rwolan@sbcglobal.net -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 12:38:33 PM)

Yaab -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 2:09:31 PM)

Now add those 1,200 sailors.

GaryChildress -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 3:44:06 PM)

WOW! I don't remember seeing that kit at my local Toys R Us! [:D]

Knavey -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 4:05:36 PM)

There is more there than just the Fuso. He must have a pretty large garage!

Thats nothing...my son could staff a Nimitz class carrier WITH air wing with the number of mini-figs he has!

tocaff -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 4:37:52 PM)

That takes more patience than I could muster, or space.

morganbj -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 5:33:30 PM)

Wow, I didn't realize the hull had big square rivets on it. [;)]

Encircled -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 6:31:53 PM)

Its not a very well known fact, but the Lego Fuso actually has better armor than the real one.

Omat -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 7:24:10 PM)

Hello

There are some pictures from other ships ... a Yamato class BB and a cruiser.

so asking the dumb question as one who hasn't known the pleasure that is LEGO since oh......longer than i'll admit.....

How do these wonderful creations come about? are the parts custom made? Is it an actual kit you can buy?

Will i ever have a place big enough to fit LEGO Fuso?

Will the ladies be impressed?

tocaff -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 10:50:09 PM)

Nikademus, so many questions. How about, "If you build it they will come." [;)]

mikkey -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/16/2012 10:59:21 PM)

I still have several hundreds (thousands) LEGO pieces safely stored... [:)]

I think (and see) that they used standard LEGO bricks combined with some specialized LEGO sets (in order to get some specific items like gun tubes)... for example that is visible on "Fuso" model... the "Yamato" model, on the other hand, uses standard long bricks for gun tubes...

rockmedic109 -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/17/2012 8:21:26 AM)

If I showed this to my wife, she'd put the divorce lawyer on speed dial.

If they had this when I was a kid, my mom would've had me sent to a little rubber room somewhere, hoping that my I did not infect my dad.

Maybe I can show it to my dad now..........

Kitakami -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/17/2012 4:03:43 PM)

Those are beautiful... I hardly find the time to work on my 1/350 platic-and-photo etch post-conversion Maya... to build one of those I'd have to quit society... and AE. The first may not be that bad, but the second... no dice! :)

The Gnome -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/17/2012 6:46:03 PM)

In a "that's what she said" moment: Wow that's big!

Seriously, that takes more patience and creativity than I could ever wring out of my bones, very impressive! I can't wait to hear about your next project.

Mine too, mine too.

dr.hal -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/18/2012 4:03:27 PM)

Wow!!! Who has the TIME to do such things, let alone the inclination?????

KenchiSulla -> RE: LEGO Fuso (7/18/2012 7:41:29 PM)

I looked at my girlfriend and I got the "it's not going to happen" look....
