OK Stormwolf, you're going to have to stop attempting to be funny, because HEY, your are funny. Except when you aren't, which is all the time. Coming from me, and I'm never funny, that's a low blow. Just grip yourself, dude.

Historiker -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 7:54:06 AM)

I had serious problems accessing the forum yesterday. So you are not alone, Christian [;)]

castor troy -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 7:57:43 AM)

Forums fine for me.....but I'm unstable. Maybe I have a virus?

You're unstable? Is there someone nearby who can remove the sharp objects? [:D]

Nobody that I trust near sharp objects.....particuliarly if they are protruding from sensitive parts of my anatomy.[:D]

CaptBeefheart -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 9:46:17 AM)

Seems to be working pretty well from Korea other than a couple of reloads necessary (no big deal whatsoever). Clearly North Korea isn't behind this or I'd be experiencing grief.

Cheers,
CC

HansBolter -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 11:22:27 AM)

The day all this instability took place (and I experienced it myself with pages here taking several minutes to download if they downloaded at all) we heard from several businesses and municipal government HQs along the west coast of Florida that they had no internet service at all for several hours. The difficulties here could have been part of a lrager problem.

JocMeister -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 1:32:16 PM)

Having issues from time to time aswell!

PaxMondo -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 1:36:21 PM)

Well Matrix forum software is 2.4.5 whereas the latest from ASPPlayground.net is 3.9

In a post in the General Forum area ...

There are lots of things we can do but the forum software doesn't support them so means hacking it to pieces to do anything like that.

The best thing to do is upgrade the forum software but that's a bigger job so we need to work out how that fits in to the schedule.

Yeah ... like it hasn't already been years due ... Didn't Matrix hire someone months ago? ... apart from making it harder to loggin I'm not sure what this guy is being paid for. I shoulda applied!

Anyway - these probs are probably a DoS attack rather than this ... but it is about time Matrix put a bit of cash into infrastructure.

especially as the forum is quite good commercial for them. Without his forum, I would have never bought WITP or AE for example and those two games aren't the only ones I bought. None of them if I wouldn't have stumbled across this forum.

crsutton -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 5:08:00 PM)

Yes, I noticed it a few times in the last two days. Not serious but once in a while.

Insano -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 5:48:02 PM)

everyone stop dividing by 0

Sardaukar -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 6:03:46 PM)

It happens to me now and then, but not during last few days. It's strange that some people cannot access, some can.

AW1Steve -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 7:33:10 PM)

It's hanging up on me now.....[:(]

JocMeister -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 8:31:05 PM)

Me too...

Dan Nichols -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/19/2012 8:48:54 PM)

It was good for most of the day and now I got this for an hour:

Just got back to the page after receiving the above message as well for about 30 minutes.

JocMeister -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 9:00:03 AM)

Just had a 5 minute hickup now when I tried to post.

EDIT: Couldn´t post anything but viewing the forum worked.

Same here...lost a post that took me more than 10 minutes to write down....[:@]

terje439 -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 11:13:59 AM)

Happens here too from time to time. Atleast it has taught me to save any post I am about to submit before submitting...

The Gnome -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 2:13:58 PM)

I thought everyone was crazy as I never had even the slightest hiccup, until last night when I ended up on an asp error page. I've had no problems since then though.

moonraker65 -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 3:27:01 PM)

Been like it for at least a week. Took me 3 attempts to finally get on to the forum this afternoon alone [X(]

Chickenboy -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 3:56:56 PM)

Very slow / choppy service today too. Been dumped / "failed to load" twice.

witpqs -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/20/2012 4:08:47 PM)

Problems continuing through today.

aztez -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/21/2012 8:58:19 AM)

Definately some major problems brewing regarding the forums. Quite a few timed outs etc.

Fix the damn thing...

Arnhem44 -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/21/2012 9:00:32 AM)

It's been bad for me the past fortnight or so, before that it was a little worse than usual but still tolerable, these past 2 weeks have seen 2 occasions when I just gave up refreshing because the forum just wouldn't load. Pages taking forever to load or just plain not loading. I've taken to copying posts on the clipboard before I post them just in case they don't go through.

inqistor -> RE: forum extremely unstable? (7/21/2012 9:17:45 AM)

It seems to load normally for me, but there are problems with posting.

To be fair to Matrix CB, the problems you are encountering in not being able to get on the forums and being unable to post is NOT an accident.

I've had lots of problems too. Luckily I've been at work for the past five days, so I've been off air so to speak!
