ORIGINAL: Creeper I would have no problem to publish the source code, but I don't want to run in trouble if I do so. You know, this tool is able to read savegame files and to show all mission targets etc... So everybody would be able to see what raids his opponent player has planned. In a pbem game that would be fatal. [:-] Also I assume that Harley don't want that... Exactly... My first tool was a basic editor for Talonsoft's Twelve O'Clock High: Bombing the Reich, and I came up with the same limitations. I just made a flag to detect PBEM games and not allow them to open. Harley The problem I am looking at is how to keep a hex edit, or mem reader from misusing info loaded by a german production tool. Even if it is an info only tool it would be possible to edit or read other info than what should be available to the player. The only thing I have come up with is public key crypto with the data kept encrypted in memory. I will have to learn a lot to make that work and probably will leave security holes anyway. Did you look at any deeper anti cheat stuff when you were doing the first upgrade? Curt
