INTELLIGENCE REPORT DATE: 20 JUNE 1942 FROM: COMBINED FLEET TO: GHQ TEXT: INTREP 15th JUNE concluded that the enemy carrier fleet was likely to meet up with a major transportation TF near Perth and support the movement of that TF to India. Radio intercepts indicates a major shipping operation on-going from Perth to the NW (see attached map). It is likely that this is a major reinforcement convoy to India with one or several enemy divisions. This major target can be intercepted by COMBINED FLEET east of Diego Garcia on 2nd JULY.
