I also noticed that my carrier air groups now include pilots in the 20s and 30s as reinforcements. This is after no carrier combat, and these guys are fighter pilots.

I have checked to see if anything changed since 2.0/2.10/2.11 but pilots with such low exp will improve fairly quickly (even if they dont fly). Check them again in a week (assuming you dont have to rush into battle).
