It's June 1944..
In the remote jungles of Burma elements of the depleted 77th (Chindit) Brigade are closing in on the city of Mogaung.
Excausted by a prolonged jungle campaign, monsoon weather, and with the ranks thinned by malaria, dysenteri, typhus... not to mention increasingly stiff enemy resistance has made life utterly miserable for the men of the 77th.
Before Mogaung, however, the British must deal with an enemy held village to the south of the city. Two company sieze formations from the 1st Bn, Lancashire Fusiliers and 1st Bn, The King's Liverpool Regiment move out into the night.
The attack is to be launced just before dawn on June 18.
