slyone -> MC Desert Fox - who wants to part with it? (12/11/2002 8:53:17 PM)

I know that I am not the first one to ask but I still want to get my hands on the MC Desert Fox.

Is there anyone that want's to part with his copy?

Thanks in advance for any offer.

;)

Hey guys,
this post has no replies. (a piece of nice poetry, itsn't it :D :D :D )

Nobody has it ? :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Or nobody wants to part with it? :( :( :(

MilosG -> (1/11/2003 3:56:05 AM)

I have it. :cool:

No, I don't want to part with it. I'm not finished playing it yet.:D

slyone -> (1/13/2003 5:24:52 PM)

And how did you get it?

Were you one of the lucky guys that managed to grab it hot from one of distributors or you have it from a secondhand deal?

MilosG -> (1/14/2003 2:49:22 AM)

I believe I got it from the Matrix Games mail order site. I had been playing SPWaW for only a few months and was intrigued by the MC concept. It was in short supply then, I guess they have sold out.

I have it. I grabbed it when I saw that they were running low of stock. Hang in there. I remember they said they were looking into making the MCs available somehow; by download, or a gold edition or something like that. Keep checking back.

Pre-ordered mine from Matrix when it was becoming available and I can't part with it as I still need it for troubleshooting if required. And I still go back and play it over and over trying alternate paths each time.

I was very hopeful about Matrix's re-launching promises. However, it seems that nothing is happening in this direction. I read even some opinion from Matrix guys that re-printing will prove unprofitable. Then there was a poll if you remember. Also didn't help. Now I seriously doubt in the re-launching project.

By the way, rbrunsman and MilosG, do you consider parting with your copies once you finished the MC?

;)

I see no problem with recycling my games once I'm done with them. I'm not a collector. I treat computer games like books; read it once then give it to someone I think will enjoy it. If I want to read the book again, I'll go buy it again (I've only ever re-read Dune and Lord Of The Rings, and I had no problem paying again for the privilege). Once I finish with my Mega Campaigns I'll offer them up if Matrix doesn't mind. But I'm still muddling through Lost Victories and haven't even loaded Desert Fox yet. PBEM has become my passion and I don't have much time for Mega Campaigns anymore.

It would be nice if Matrix would post an opinion about whether they have a problem with gamers redistributing MCs. I'm sure there are other people like me who would be willing to sell their Mega Campaigns but their loyalty to Matrix prevents them from doing so. If Matrix would give the OK because they have no intention of re-issuing MCs you may see some offers.

Matrix?

slyone -> (1/15/2003 12:59:51 AM)

This is exactly what I hope for - that there are people that want to sell their MC's once finished with them.

I joint the question - Matrix, what the he.. is with the project of re-launching MCs? Over.

P.S. And anyhow I still look forward to seeing some offers with MC Desert Fox. ;)

Traders? Do you have any other MCs that you are done with?

You can contact me privately by email. ;)
