PrinceBolkonsky -> Civil War 2008 Classic Scenario (9/7/2012 3:25:34 AM)

Looking for someone who would like to play this scenario as the South. I would prefer to get a send in at least five times a week (each) though I can do more if you are motivated. At a minimum there ought to be send from one side or the other most days. Obviously, each side will have interruptions.

It is a surprisingly good scenario. Parts are set piece battles other areas are open with a lot of potential for surprises. The sides seem pretty balanced but with different problems. The south seems to start out a bit stronger but the North slowly catches up.

Any takers?

Now I know this isn't the most popular scenario. It may seem awkward. I normally play WW2 scenarios too. But I have developed a fondness for this scenario due to its virtues. The terrain is genuinely interesting, the situation is at the same time both balanced and the players have different problems. There is room for both set piece battles and swirling and surprising punches and counter punches in the west with supply an increasing factor on both sides. At the same time it is not an overwhelming scenario. Certainly less complex than most large scenarios. In fact, due to the discreet regions that develop separate campaigns it feels more like two or three smaller games at times.

I really think it is worth giving a shot. I'll keep checking in.

I am up for playing but it would be my first PBEM. Played over 1000 pbem games on Hexwar, though.

Prefer to Play as USA
