bilbow -> 10th Anniversary (9/12/2012 2:19:38 AM)

Been a while since I posted, but still playing every day.

All PBEM players appreciate the importance of a reliable and compatible opponent, and I've got one of the best now for 10 years.

Mbatch729 answered my first opponent wanted posting for UV in September 2002, and here we are 10 years later still playing. Trough UV, WTTP and now AE, not to mention all the life events during that time.

So I say thanks, Mark!

Maybe you didn't see this ...

Anyway, congrats

I must be there too.  Amazing that one game should keep me happy for such a long time when classics like Civ, Steel Panthers etc don't although I do occassionally get them out.

Nice complement Bilbow, but I hope you don't make it a hobbit. But it does sound like you two have hit it off well.

To other folks, I wonder if it would be worth while having a permanent thread about positive gaming experiences with individuals. Note I said positive as I don't think we should post negative comments unless in a PM. This thread could act as both a public thank you forum as well as a tool by which those hunting for an opponent can see if there are some positive statements about their prospective choice. This game requires a lot of time and effort, maybe there should be some "reward" for those that put that time and effort into it in a positive and constructive way. Thoughts???? Hal

Chris- I occasionally find myself digging those out as well. I play them for a few days and remember why I shelved them in the first place... hehe
