You start with boskara on harsh and very hard. Restless. Young expansion.

You generate 13 expanding races, no insects. Everyone at starting tech.

You welcome your starting frigate and escort. You view your two systems.

You build two more frigates and a couple of explorers.

You find a system map of 12 systems, revealing foreign colonies.

Your state department embargo the lot.

The Haakonish declare war, and mop your mining systems with a 15 ship fleet headed by a 376 firepower alien cruiser. Your frigates have 25 firepower, the escort 10. A whopping 85 across the new formed 1st fleet.

The Haakonish attack your capital and its 4 troops, with large spaceport above. The 1st fleets try to help... Explotions are heard it ends in a standoff where the alien cruiser lobs torpedoes at the spaceport, while the spaceport can't reach it.

You observe your 4 troops defeating the 4 invaders easily.

With spaceport at 30% shield, the alien cruiser for some reason decides to leave (refuel?).

The Ketarov declares war.

The Ketarov bring a destroyer fleet at the other colony, attack with 15 troops to 4 defenders, and 2 million civilians. The colony is soon lost.

The gas mine rebuilt in a mining system explodes (yay, ketarov).

The Zenox come back with another fleet of approx 15 ships with the alien cruiser. They land 15+ troops and kill the spaceport.

The capital is lost.

Game over.

I did an AAR. And posted in the wrong forum ;-)

This was actually my second try. I cancelled the first because I thought I had messed up. I was there with my frigate and escort waiting for my two new frigates, and a pirate frigate attacked. It fired light blue beams (titan, I think), and tech was starting. Firepower 100 on a frigate...

I think I will start most others at young, and maybe put a few distant expanding.

Bingeling I think you need to read the 'easy way to always win' thread in the War Room.  You lost because you did not build 40 explorers.  [sm=00000280.gif]

Dang area weapons. All lost because automatic retrofit was not on, and I did not implement it once it was research. I knew I forgot something obvious [:)]
