Another Repair Ship Screen idea:

Can a button be added that sets all ships that are "refitting" to "Low" Priority?

The Japanese already can expand shipyards, but as I understand it the Allies do not have this ability. It would be very nice, though.


Will never happen. It is the sort of fundamental game design change which michaelm is not authorised to implement.

Conversion Panel adjustment recommendation:



Slide the text over, align the text from the right, move the button to the right side of the button. The "Back" button could go over to the now vacant lower left corner.

The reason for the change is that it saves having to go from one side of the first panel to the other side of the next panel.

Understood. I guess what is jarring is that this only happens for CVs. It's inconsistent. I'll FiDo. Thank you.

Good to hear suggestions for consistency, ease of use and or things to reduce mouse clicks/movement.

If there was a WiTP 2 I'm not sure how many engine changes would be desired/required compared to automation or UI changes to reduce the effort and or make more accessible for the player.

Example;
- add a back button in the Plane/Weapon and Ship Database after clicking on unit instead of just an exit button

I think I might have stumbled onto a bug.

I was under the impression that if a base with a merchant or naval shipyard changes hands, the shipyard should turn into a repair shipyard.

However, I just 'Occupied' a base with a merchant shipyard and it is still a shipyard. So it seems that if you don't attack and conquer the base, but rather have it 'Occupied' without a fight, the shipyards do not convert.

Working as intended or not?

Usually he needs before so he can see it happening with his debugger running.

All I can see the code doing is suppressing the showing of the ship/merchant yard icon if the current player is NOT Japanese.

This one is reproducible and has been around for quite a while. Go to a base with various kinds of air units. On the air display, click on "HB" to filter out heavy bombers. It does not work. The other filers all (AFAIK) work.

Now click on "All Types" (or whatever exact wording) to make all the groups filter out. Then click on "HB" to show (only) heavy bombers. It works.

So it seems like something is wrong with 'half' of the HB toggle.

I'll gather a save for you if you need one, but this should happen in any that you are looking at.

this is WAD but i agree it is confusing, problem is u have toggle BM on which include all level BM types, so u toggle of HB but they are stil on because BM is on.
When u toggle all types u turn off BM toggle too so next time when u turn on/off HB it works fine

Anyone finding finding this beta had to install? I have tried it a couple of times, all I get is nothing. It is only when I run it as an administrator will I get that something is trying to be installed via a window message. I have never had any issues install these betas.
