Agreed, this mod looks magnificent. Not only is EVE a great sci-fi setting but personally I prefer the concept of human factions inhabiting space rather than a bunch of aliens. Congratulations on the Mod, look forward to its release [:)]

I guess the biggest change is the ground troops, and there are a few new parts and some other minor changes too. Hope it's not a lot of work. Will be cool, when it's released I can play "EVE" without worrying about griefing.

It's a lot of work. Not as much as creating full races from scratch, but I'm finding it's at least half an hour per race to find images for troops and then editing them to match the troop icon format. I wouldn't be surprised if it took another week, assuming its being worked on. Patience! There are also a number of changes to the race and policy files that need to be accounted for and tested.

Hah indeed. That "wouldn't this be better if..." is so addicting. Its even worse when you have an occasional perfectionist streak.. once you start looking at the details there are so many things to be fixed!

I've spent the last 3 months being overwhelmed by Eve Online. Imagine my surprise, the day after I buy Distant Worlds, to discover a mod based on the game I've been obsessing over from another genre. I CAN'T WAIT!

Used to 'dabble' abit in Eve myself but nothing hardcore.

Anyways, I really cant wait for this mod as it looks so awesome but is worrying as seems Eva hasnt been around since April.

Hope she is just busy working on it and will be back soon though! :)

Hi guys all [:)] im back!
Sorry for the late response.. im little busy for a While..my work(job), modding, playing shadow,..& etc..

i will update new screenshots.. a few days after
- new galaxy background image (EVE style background)
- new nebulae clouds
- new mapstas, supernovas
- new UI icons (EVE style pitogram)
- weapon effect visual, ruin images Update & Fix
- and..ADD more new ship sets (Sleepers, Pirate ships)

EVE mod was almost finished..but still remained some Progress ..

- analyzing shadow files
- moddiing ground combat
- compatible shadow
- galactopedia (this is big issue [:(])
- and..final tuning

this eve mod final Release Date will be July 2013..[:(]
i will finish this modding soon .. i MUST finish [:)]

Thanks for the update Eva! Glad you're also enjoying Shadows. If you need a proofreader I think I could do that for the Galactopedia (as well as any other textual items you might need help with). I wish I could help you on the translation side, though. [:(]

Still looking forward to the completion of this mod! I hope it's Shadows-compatible too. [:D]
