And then the Allies do a DA at Port Moresby and don't exactly win the event:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/5/2012 1:42:59 AM)

And to top it off Jim decided to bombard me at Gasmata:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:18:49 AM)

I got lucky in this sub attack in that the Allied sub didn't connect on any of this four TT's. I'd hate to lose a CVE to a sub.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:21:11 AM)

And then I got lucky again and actually got some hits on an Allied sub:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:23:31 AM)

Here's how things went in the bombardment of Cebu:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:25:32 AM)

And then there was a surface combat where I sunk a couple of PT boats:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:37:00 AM)

And then I got lucky again when the Allied DD didn't get any hits on my ships in this day-time encounter near Baker island:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:39:29 AM)

But then I ran into some bad luck when I found one of my subs in a target-rich environment and the Allied escort see's me first:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:43:31 AM)

Then near Johnston island I ran into an AK that I thought needed a TT renovation:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:45:10 AM)

And then my Oscars did a sweep of Singapore and got one:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:46:54 AM)

And then my Betty's do their daily raid on Port Moresby:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:49:48 AM)

And then my strategic raiding of Darwin happened again and I got a hit on the Rescources Center alledgedly.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:54:26 AM)

And then my Sonia's caused a few casualties among the Kendari Garrison Bn:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:56:26 AM)

And then the Allies do a raid on Taiping and I'm wondering where my CAP is:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 2:59:51 AM)

And then there was a moderately large furball in the skies over Java:

[image]local://upfiles/16287/3F4AE212BE1846C8A43D8ABE3CF044D1.gif[/image]

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:02:03 AM)

And then my Nell's did a raid on Singapore. Not much to show for it though:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:05:55 AM)

And then at Midway, my planes couldn't make it through all the Allied CAP and went home with only one Wildcat shot down:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:08:12 AM)

And then three of my Sally's thought they would just raid Java for the heck of it.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:17:27 AM)

There were about a half a dozen attacks in China......this is one of them:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:19:41 AM)

And then this happened. Here's how it went on the ground at Manila:

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 3:22:24 AM)

And Jim is still trying for Gasmata. I have some people at Rabaul that are getting ready to board the boats to head over to Gasmata
and put an end to this sillyness. And when they get through there they will head over to Port Moresby to stabilize that situation.

Here's me making sure that the expand port and expand airbase are both turned off and I made sure the repair on the refinery is turned
off so there's only the Oil Center left to work on. Get the oil flowing and then talk about expanding the port and the airbase and the
refinery.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 4:48:51 AM)

When last we left TF 8 yesterday, we had her docked, and doing a loading operation, but the destination and home base were both set
to Tokyo. So we were wondering what was going to happen: take off for Tokyo, or stay there and load. So now we know, the TF is still
loading at the dock. Proof that's what happens when that situation comes up. Good to know.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 5:01:33 AM)

Here's location Bubble Drop just about to receive a huge 11K+ slug of fuel. I've checked out the base hex and there's no limit on the
fuel and supplies you can store there so I plan to max it out at some point only because it's so valuable to the hub and spoke kind of
thing I have going on with Tokyo and points to the west and south. I'm surprised that Jim isn't jamming a lot of subs into those waters
because that would really wreck the traffic going in and out of there. Most of it is escorted, true, but he might be able to pick off a ship
or two just because of the law of averages.

OT: Obamma just now won the presidential election according to Google. Now back to the game.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 5:12:04 AM)

Traffic has backed up Hakodate so I'm sending this TF to the northernmost port that has goodies and there's two possible routes it could
take and I'm leaning toward the one that starts off to the west and goes through the gap and then north rather than the one that just
takes off to the east into Allied sub territory and then goes north. I'm thinking there would be fewer Allied subs on the first route than the
second. Fewest subs wins.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 5:20:04 AM)

When we last left TF 20 it was sitting in Hong Kong loading supplies and the destination was set to Hong Kong and the home base was
set to Tarakan. We were wondering what would happen to the TF. Well it turns out that the ship stayed there and completely loaded
and didn't leave the port for Tarakan. That may be because it only just now finished loading and didn't have enough points left to do
the undockiing and leave port. So I'm thinking I'll just leave it there docked in Hong Kong and see what happens when it's already in it's
destination and not in it's home port. Will it decide on it's own to take off for Tarakan? We'll see in a future post what happened to TF
20.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 5:40:24 AM)

Here's TF 26 and it's unloading just before disembarking for the most northern port for resources ( I don't remember the
name of it right now....starts with an S ) and the destination is set for where they are and the home port is set to the most northern port.
So the question is will they stay there unloading or take off for the north or what? We'll see in a future post.

larryfulkerson -> RE: Fulkerson vs Moore 20Feb42 (11/7/2012 5:50:47 AM)

Here's how crazy busy it has become for Tokyo. Tokyo is the locus of 99% of the supplies leaving the home islands and Tokyo has
the largest reserve of fuel of any base and that makes it one busy port. A lot of the troop transports have already loaded and left but
there's a large fuel TF loading and at least one supply TF that's still loading. A lot of the convoys that are inbound are coming from a
long way away as seen in the endurance needed column. And there's a lot of resources and oil headed for Tokyo.
