BigDuke66 -> Some Ideas for 5.0 (2/1/2001 8:16:00 PM)

Hi
I have some Ideas for 5.0
1. Another Preference Option, I call it "True Equipment Cost", it's like "True Troop Cost" but the cost of the Equipment should depend on how often this Equipment saw combat in WW2, how high was the Production and also when this Equipment was mostly used, for example the german Tank "Maus" never saw combat and only 3 where ever produced so it should cost VERY much.
2. In an generated Battle with the Mission Meeting, the Victory Hexes should be placed in an other way. I just play to missions like that and the Problem is who ever gets the first turn moves to the Victory Hexes and when the other guy can move, the game turns into an Attack/Defend Mission, because he is already there and I have to drive him of the Victory Hexes.
So my Idea is that there are two different Types of Victor Hexes, one for me and one for him, his Hexes are in my back and my are in his back so ther is no other way then he has to get thru me and I hav to get thru him, no Attack/Defend we both have to move or everthing would depend on the outcome of our battle.
3. In Attack or Advance Mission the Attacking player should get more points(Attack 25%, Advance 10%) because its a bit stupid to attack if you aren't at least a bit stronger then the Defender, the extra points would be my advantage an his position as an Defender would be his advantage.
4. This Idea is from a Tabletop called "Warhammer 40.000".
In an generated Battle the Programm should check this size of both forces an then would set limits in which way the points are used, for Example a Platoon shouldn't be able to get more Tanks or Anti-Tank that it has Infantry Platoons,so the Programm says you have a Platton so you can use 25% for Anti-Tank, 40% for Infantry, 15% for Artillery, 25% for Tanks, 10% for Aircrafts so on, I'm now over 100% but that's ok because you don't have to use all points but you can't use more then the Percentage for the Troop-Type is.
So thats it maybe there is something usefull for 5.0.
