Bison36 -> Internal Error (11/21/2012 3:52:32 AM)

Not sure what the error message means but here is a screenshot.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/21/2012 3:54:18 AM)

OK it's a little blurry but the code is "Close Combat encountered an internal error at address 0x454100 and will now exit.

SteveMcClaire -> RE: Internal Error (11/21/2012 5:14:23 PM)

Thanks for the report.  It looks like you were in the middle of a battle.  Was this part of a campaign game, and if so, were you able to continue the saved game?  Did you have to re-fight that battle, if so?

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/21/2012 5:27:36 PM)

It was during a battle in the operational scenario Central Slugfest. I was able to re-load and play through the battle without a crash so it wasn't something associated with the save file.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/21/2012 6:27:33 PM)

Got another internal error. The same game but different internal error this time.
"Close Combat encountered an internal error at address 0x4574D and will now exit."

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:00:59 AM)

Got the internal address 0x4574D error again.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:02:38 AM)

OK. I had to change the way I was zipping the file. Here is the save game file.

Southern Hunter -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 9:49:01 AM)

A similar issue playing the campaign. Close Combat has encountered an internal error at 0x420E2E and will now exit. Version 2012.11.6.1

I was about 10 battles into the Grand Campaign, and it seems I cannot now continue with it. I was placing squads in the pre-battle phase, and it seemed that one of the squads was invisible.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 4:12:45 PM)

No internal error message just a program stopped responding message from windows. This was during the Hill 285 operation campaign.

Huubits -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 4:59:19 PM)

It has something to do with those platoons that receive replacement soldiers. I get these same errors, everytime I use those platoons. It comes when I'm placing those units and I select more than one unit at a time. Or if I don't select more than one, and continue with battle the error message comes when some of these replacements die. I'm playing campaingn (historical) as germans. I hope this helps.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:00:32 PM)

How I do identify the replacement platoons?

Huubits -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:04:07 PM)

You get them to those platoons that have taken casualities, and they come at night turns. It reads on their experience "Trained" or "Well Trained". You can bypass those errors if you use other infantry platoons. This seems not to effect tank platoons at all.

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:12:02 PM)

That might be part of the issue and I can look at it again. However I've been cycling through my companys and inserting new platoons for each battle. So I'm not sure that is the only issue we're seeing causing the internal errors.

Huubits -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:20:26 PM)

Problem seems to also occur when your opponent is using platoons that have replacements.

raeper -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:21:20 PM)

I Get same Crash. If i use replasement it crashes. and i change then veteran it wont crash... and now i am stuck in one map where i onky get 2 teams and there is only replacements so it crashes all the time x)

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:41:35 PM)

Well if the bug effects the AI use of replacements that might explain why I'm getting the error even when I'm not using replacement platoons.

raeper -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:47:13 PM)

Not funny bug, i cant go forward :/ tryed to kill everyone before it crashes but wont help. so i am waiting patch, so hope u do it fast :)

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 5:49:02 PM)

It certainly puts a damper on playing campaigns.

SteveMcClaire -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 7:29:11 PM)

Just an update -- I am looking into the issue and it is something we will address ASAP.

Southern Hunter -> RE: Internal Error (11/22/2012 11:10:08 PM)

Thanks

Bison36 -> RE: Internal Error (11/23/2012 1:55:52 AM)

Happy bug hunting! I've really enjoyed this latest edition to the CC family of games and am looking forward to playing a full campaign.

raeper -> RE: Internal Error (11/23/2012 5:02:14 AM)

Thx for fixing when u find it :) little offtopic: i have allways wondered, is there way to rename your Soldiers? it would be funny to get yourself in battle to earn medals :)

benjohnson79 -> RE: Internal Error (11/23/2012 5:48:37 AM)

Unfortunately no. It will take at least a few days of testing before we are ready to release it, and some time to get through logistical channels and become available for download. So while I can't give a specific time frame, I can say this is what I am working on right now and will be focused on until it's done.

Steiner33 -> RE: Internal Error (11/24/2012 2:20:59 PM)

I have the same error

0x4574FD

esland -> RE: Internal Error (11/25/2012 5:25:52 PM)

Yep me too, Campaign come to a grinding halt with error 0x4574FD. Please post on here when you have patch so I will be notified by email. Thanks.

Dora09 -> RE: Internal Error (11/27/2012 3:50:12 AM)

I am getting the crash too.  It sucks, just made it to the second day of the campaign now can't progress.
Getting the 420E2E crash.

PipFromSlitherine -> RE: Internal Error (11/27/2012 4:01:07 PM)

Please grab the quick fix zip at the top of the forum and that should solve the issue and get you playing again.

Cheers

Pip
